As part of a presbyterian denomination, we operate through tiered courts of the church. The country is divided into regional Presbyteries and Synods, with an annual General Assembly in Edinburgh each May.

Locally the practical matters of the congregation are under the Deacons’ Court whilst spiritual matters fall under the sphere of the Kirk Session.
Deacons and Elders are elected into office by the congregation, and the minister is similarly called by a free vote of the members of the congregation.
